Salon Policies

We look forward to welcoming you into the studio. Here you will find our policies that enable us to provide high quality treatments effectively with your satisfaction in mind.

Bookings

We now have an online booking service! This is a great new feature for you to book and manage your appointments at your own convenience. Please see below for cancellation & rescheduling policy.

The system we use is GDPR compliant. You will receive confirmations and appointment reminders via email. You may also receive text message reminders.

All consultation forms and invoices will be sent to you via email for you to fill out before the appointment.

You can manage your preferences within the online booking feature.

Service Guarantees

Your satisfaction is our highest priority. If you are not completely contented please notify us during the treatment or within 24 hours after your service has been performed. We are committed to making any corrections, and if there was a fault on our side, to offer you a refund.

Health History

For your comfort and safety, please notify your therapist if you have any allergies, physical issues or disabilities, or if you are pregnant. If you begin to experience discomfort or any other symptoms please alert your therapist immediately.

Client consultation forms are sent digitally, if at any time there are changes to your health please notify us to update your record. This is to ensure your safety during all treatments

Guests

We understand that you may wish to bring friends or family with you to your appointment. However we are unable to accommodate guests in the studio and only allow one client with the therapist at any time. Katie is happy to offer a virtual consultation before the appointment for reassurance if you wish.

This policy also applies to children. Due to the nature of our services, and in order to be respectful of other businesses operating in the building we ask that you arrange childcare in advance as we don’t allow children in the studio whilst you are in treatment.

Late Arrivals

Your time with us is important, and we would never want to rush your treatments. In order to respect the time of our clients and therapist we ask that you arrive on time for your appointment. Clients arriving over 15 minutes late may forfeit part of their treatment whilst the full cost of treatments booked still applies, or they may be asked to reschedule the appointment, and a late cancellation fee will be charged for the missed appointment.

Cancellations

Your time with us is reserved for you personally. If you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment we require 48 hours notice otherwise a 50% cancellation charge may apply.

Clients that have gift vouchers to use will forfeit the gift voucher in the event of a late notice cancellation or no show.

This policy applies in the event that you book multiple services in one appointment and upon arrival of the appointment you decide that you no longer need all services. A 50% cancellation charge applies to those services cancelled at late notice. To avoid this please cancel these additional services in advance of the booking, at least 48 hours prior.

The invoice will be sent via email to pay the cancellation fee before further treatments can be booked.

New Clients

We look forward to welcoming you! Upon booking your appointment a deposit request will be sent to you for 50% of the booked treatment. This is a non refundable deposit. However, you may rearrange the appointment up to 48 hours before the originally booked time and we will transfer the deposit to the new booking. This deposit will be forfeited upon late cancellations within 48 hours or failure to attend the appointment, in line with our current cancellation policy.

In the event that a refund for a deposit is agreed, an admin fee of 5% of the deposit applies, this is to cover processing fees incurred by Skinterest Studio. 

You will receive your client consultation form via email for you to fill out before the appointment and any associated treatment consultation forms.

If a patch test is required for the treatment you will be notified and this will need to be carried out at least 48 hours before the booked appointment. Failure to complete a patch test will result in cancellation of the booking and your deposit will be refunded, minus an admin fee of 5%.

Patch Test                                      

Some treatments require a patch test, these must be carried out a minimum of 48 hours before the booked appointment time. You will be notified and a separate appointment will be set up.

A new patch test will be required if it has been over 6 months since your last treatment.

The patch test does not guarantee against future reactions. Unfortunately we cannot waiver the patch test in any circumstance, even though we understand you may have had this service many times elsewhere. It is our policy to carry out all treatments as safely as possible within our salon environment.

Gift Vouchers

We know just how wonderful it is to receive a beauty gift voucher! All terms & conditions are listed on the gift voucher, as below:

  • The gift voucher must be presented at the time of appointment

  • The gift voucher is valid until the expiry date shown and cannot be redeemed after this date.

  • Gift vouchers cannot be replaced if lost/stolen or destroyed.

  • Gift vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

  • Any changes or defacement made to one of our gift vouchers will render it void.

  • A minimum of 48 hours notice is required to rearrange or cancel an appointment otherwise a 50% charge will incur.

  • Advanced booking is recommended

Right to refuse service

We have the right to refuse service to any clients that are behaving improperly, intoxicated or if their state of health may influence the effects of the service.
